RWO’s government and administrative lawyers have more than 40 years experience in all aspects of governmental affairs. They are known for representing commercial property holders in tax assessment appeals.
The team is headed by Ronald S. Loser, who served as Arapahoe County Attorney from 1965 to 1978, and has since handled hundreds of tax valuation cases in private practice. Loser’s public and private experience gives him an insider’s view of how commercial property assessments are determined, and how best to prepare and present evidence for assessment appeals before the Board of Assessment Appeals. He also has a thorough understanding of appraisers and appraisal techniques, and has represented clients of the national property tax consulting company, Marvin F. Poer & Company’s Colorado office for over 20 years.
The RWO government and administrative practice area group has successfully protested unfair assessments for a variety of clients, including the Telluride Land Co., the Hyatt Regency in Beaver Creek and many major metropolitan Denver commercial properties.
