Otto K. Hilbert, II is a director and shareholder in the Litigation Department of Robinson Waters & O'Dorisio, P.C. and has a substantial and diverse background in complex civil case management.
His practice focuses on commercial litigation, arbitration, and mediation, including securities litigation and he has significant first-chair trial and appellate experience in a wide variety of subject areas. He is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the National Futures Association, and the National Arbitration and Mediation's (NAM) International Division Boards of Arbitration, and is a member of the Securities Industry Association, Compliance and Legal Division. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, Arizona, Wisconsin and before many other federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and the Untied States Tax Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation section and ADR subcommittee) and is a member of the Colorado, Denver, Arizona and Wisconsin Bar Associations (ADR Committee). He is also listed in Who's Who.
Mr. Hilbert frequently speaks on various topics primarily involving securities laws, construction defect and real estate litigation, trial and discovery techniques, and on alternate dispute resolution and the benefits and drawbacks to arbitration and mediation generally. He has been a guest lecturer at The University of Denver College of Law and The University of Notre Dame Law School on arbitration. He has also spoken to both the legal and real estate communities on various issues arising from amendments to Colorado's real estate laws. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Notre Dame (where he served on the Law School's Advisory Council and is a member of The Edward Frederick Sorin Society and The Order of St. Thomas Moore), and received his law degree from The University of Colorado.
Mr. Hilbert has served on various boards and committees around Colorado, including having served as an Officer, Director and President of The Denver Athletic Club; Officer and Director of Lakewood Country Club; Officer and Director of The Notre Dame Clubs of Phoenix and Denver; Officer and Director of The Catholic Lawyers Guild of Colorado; President of The Blessed Sacrament School Foundation; and as a Board Member for the Colorado Judicial Institute. Mr. Hilbert is also a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Association Foundation.
