Patrick M. Ryan earned his B.B.A. degree with distinction from the University of Iowa in 1969. He received his J.D. degree from the same institution in 1972. He also received a Masters degree in Taxation (L.L.M.) degree in 1985 from the University of Denver College of Law. Patrick’s practice emphasizes tax-related matters, including assisting clients with implementation of wills, trusts, estate planning and family wealth transfers; probate of estates and administration of trusts; design and drafting of defined benefit pension, profit-sharing, ESOP, 401(k) and employee benefit plans; advising clients in the formation of corporations, non-profit entities, and family foundations; and assistance with transactions matters such as corporate reorganizations and partnership tax matters. Patrick is a member of the Real Estate, Probate, Trust and Taxation sections of the Colorado and American Bar Associations and is admitted to the United States Tax Court. He was an instructor for the Colorado Society of Certified public Accountants from 1986 through 1996 and served as President of the Denver Estate Planning Council for the 1999-2000 year.
