DENVER (March 17, 2008) – Stephen L. Waters and John W. O’Dorisio, Jr., co-managing shareholders in the full-service law firm Robinson Waters & O’Dorisio P.C. , have been named 2008 Colorado Super Lawyers®.
This is the third consecutive year Waters and O’Dorisio have been listed.
Law & Politics magazine produces Super Lawyers® lists in 48 states including Colorado. The list includes the top 5 percent of all lawyers in Colorado and is broken down into 70 practice areas. Ballots were sent to every lawyer in the state in practice five years or more.
Waters served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado after serving as the chief deputy district attorney for the 9th Judicial District and as a deputy district attorney for the 2nd Judicial District both in Colorado. Waters developed a specialty in complex civil litigation and has significant experience in cases involving real estate, construction law and oil and gas. He has successfully prosecuted and defended numerous clients in multimillion-dollar lawsuits and has negotiated many favorable settlements through mediation and arbitration. Waters obtained a bachelor of science in business administration degree from the University of Kansas and earned his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
O’Dorisio, listed a Super Lawyer® for real estate and business/corporate, works with developers, contractors and major lending institutions on complex and significant commercial real estate transactions. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial leases. He is well-known for helping sports franchises develop stadiums and arenas, having been real estate counsel to the Denver Broncos Football Club in the construction of Invesco Field. O’Dorisio earned his juris doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
