LEFFERT APPOINTED BY RITTER TO DOLA GAMING IMPACT COMMITTEE

DENVER (January 8, 200) – Anthony Leffert, a trial lawyer in the Denver-based law firm Robinson Waters & O’Dorisio, P.C., has been appointed by Governor Ritter to the State Local Government Limited Gaming Impact Advisory Committee.

The committee, created in 1997 and administered by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, provides financial assistance to local governments for finance planning, construction and maintenance of public facilities and the provision of public services related to documented gaming impacts.

Leffert is one of two Governor appointed members on the 13-member committee. He will participate in application hearings and make funding recommendations to the committee’s executive director.

Leffert, a former federal prosecutor and deputy special counsel to the Attorney General, focuses on complex business litigation, fraud, real estate and construction cases. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwest Missouri State University, his juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska and his master’s in laws in banking and financial law from Boston University.
